The app has two aims. The first is to help you to monitor how using more active forms of transport can help you improve your health and the environment. It will send you an email reminder and, if you elect to receive them, a SMS message once a week to remind you to complete a 30 second travel survey asking you how you travelled to work. In return you will be able to see an estimate of how many calories you have burnt and how much CO₂ you have saved compared to travelling in a car.
The second aim of the app is to evaluate the benefits of the JustOneJourney project.
JustOneJourney is delivered by Warwickshire County Council. The project aims to help people become more active by encouraging them to walk, cycle or use public transport when travelling to and from work.
The information you provide through this app will be used to assess the success of the project. The information will be held in confidence and no individuals will be identified in any reports we release into the public domain. Only WCC and New View Consultants, the company helping to evaluate the project, will have access to the data.
